I installed my AWE myself and will tell you that it's possible but not easy. Keep in mind that while the popular systems are "cat-backs," the cats are actually up by the engine. The downpipes (included with both APR and Milltek and strongly recommended with AWE) going from the cats to the center of the car are very difficult to remove and reinstall due to clearance issues.

I used a combination of a crowsfoot wrench (to come from below) and several long ratchet extensions joined by wobble joints (to come down from the engine bay), along with ramps, jack stands and exhaust hanger pliers. A lift would have made things a lot easier of course. If you're not sure, definitely take it to a pro.

I would have it installed by a professional, it only cost $125 for them to install, took about 90 minutes.
