Default A few ? From potential new 2015 s4 owner

Actual gas mileage on s4 MT around town, same for highway. I know it will vary with how hard you drive it.Noise level from engine , quiet or loud. I know about quieting exhaust sound through audi select. Does this quiet exhaust through changes in muffler, or is it an electronic thing where engine sounds are amplified and you turn it off ? I have written off coupe because of extra price & longer doors. But the panoramic sun roof that only tilts and does not have a real sun shade really scares me. Coupe is much warmer in summer as there is not a full sun shade. I saw the new florent silver , it is beautiful .That would be my color, sport diff, grey leather seats, B&O, all weather mats & supercharged badges.

Can't speak to 6MT but I've gotten an avg. of 22 MPG overall over 32K miles in my 2013 S4. I have DSG which should be slightly better than 6MT but it is probably pretty close. I drive mostly highway and know there is a big difference between highway and city - just never measured them separately. If you do a lot of city driving you will probably get less than 20 MPG.

The sound you adjust is coming from the speakers, not the exhaust or engine. You can google Audi Soundaktor.

I mostly highway drive to and from work (85% highway), and don't drive much in the city, but I get around 22-24mpg. Best I've ever seen was 26, and that was on a long trip.

That sounds right . Although I do very little highway driving, you would need to be averaging about 65MPH to get 26MPG in comfort mode. Travelling faster than that will definitely affect the gas mileage in a negative way.

The natural sound of the exhaust is not very loud. In 2013 they added an Soundakator , which is a speaker attached to the firewall the artificially produces an exhaust sound in the cabin of the car. It can be turned off or otherwise has 3 different volume settings conntrolled through the MMI. Not sure how much control you would have if the car did not have a sport dif.

That's exactly what I have experienced in 10k of ownership.

I get around 28 mpg with my 6mt in rural driving with occosional stop lights when I try for mpgs. I've seen up to 30 on the highway. Do you guys use the shift indicator? If you follow the indicator for a few drives, it becomes second nature when to skip shift etc. Anythng above 1500 rpm, the engine has plenty of power to upshift if your goal is to achieve mpg. Another tip: Do not coast in neutral, let the inertia of the restore the energy until ofcourse you are stopped. The ECU is smart enough to cut fuel if the car is in gear, once you put in neutral a small amount of gas is used to idle the engine.

If you have a lead foot you will pay for the power you produce. Normally when I have a lead foot day, I change to a different scroll menu , it can go < 20.

Are you looking at trip computer or measuring in manually?

As an FYI, actual MPG's are most likely 2-3 MPG less than trip computer. I avg. around 22 actual (calculated) MPG but trip computer usually shows 24+ - 25+ MPG. When I got 27 in one tank, trip computer showed 30+.
