Flat Bottom Wheel - like or dislike?
I don't know that I have ever seen one on a car before. It's unique looking for sure but wondering...
Are there any other cars on the market that have one? Is the only advantage being more clearance for the driver getting in and out of the vehicle? Does anyone dislike it, and if so, why? |
Love it. It has a great feel over my old 2011 S5. Audi did a great job on everything in the 13's

I like it just because it is different. In terms utility, I don't feel much advantage though compared with the round ones. It actually makes large rotation slightly less smooth.Maybe it's less an issue with active steering option.

I also love it.
It doesn't have any advantage I guess, but then again, same goes for the carbon trim. I'd love to have the alcantara wheel, which was an option in the RS6 and R8, but that wasn't available for the S4. |
I've only had my '13 S4 for 5 days, but while I like the look of the flat-bottom wheel, I don't think it is as easy to drive with as a standard circular wheel.

Very like! The only other cars on which I've seen a flat-bottomed wheel are very high end supercars and the other S and RS Audis.

Some AMG models have it as it's usually part of an options package.

Love It!
