Fuel door cover fell off

Fuel door cover fell off
I can't believe the fuel door panel isn't attached better than this? I was waxing my car last night and I opened the fuel door to get excess water out before applying the wax, and pop, gas door goes flying off and hits the garage floor. Thank God it didn't get scratched or nicked! To put it back on you slide the grooves on the back of the door into the receiver on the arm of the door. That's it. Is this really the only thing holding the door on? Seems like there should be some glue or something holding it on. Anyone ever lose a fuel door?
