Help please! 2012 Audi s4 misfire after 4000 rpms VAG COM POST
Hello, So this has been my issue the past few months. I have APR stage 2 (pulley, tune, and a CAI) I have taken it to the dealer and they cleared out all the carbon and changed 2 injectors but it didn't help at all. So here is my issue, when I accelerate and the rpms go over 4000 the EPC light will come out and cylinders will start misfiring (mainly cylinders 4,5, and 6). It then shuts down a cylinder and my car will spit and sputter until i turn it off for a few seconds and restart it. The EPC light does turn off after restarting but the engine light stays on. Here is what I got from my VAG COM (im a rookie with it). It wasnt always throwing this many codes it used to only be cylinders misfiring detected. I have installed new spark plugs, coil packs, MAF sensor, camshaft position sensor and the 2 injectors the dealer did (not sure which cylinders). any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.

2008 A8L fault code 01274 (V71)
VCDS gave me fault code 01275 (V71) air flow positioning motor 003- mechanical failure - intermittent. Will appreciate any guidance on fix and which one of the four motors in the HVAC system would it be. One of the two outside at the air intake or one of the two behind the glove compartment? Apparently there are are total of four motors from what I can tell. Also could the intermittent be because of setting or damaged motor? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Misfiring with tuning
I have been running cars for a long time 20+ years
most common problem from you described is your spark plugs can’t handle the performance heat and demand, when any check engine light comes on
you will experience the symptoms until you clear the codes or restart the car
look into high performance spark plugs
there are numerous options but do your research first
you also might be running low fuel due to fuel injectors not able to keep up with fuel demand at higher rpms
min you case hpfp (high pressure fuel pump) is not required yet unless you do more tuning
European cars tend to be very precise when it comes to performance of the engine
hope this helps

Boost PSI
What is your boost PSI?
Sounds like car is running lean at higher RPMs and cuts the engine down to prevent major malfunction
the goal is to have fuel to air ratio at most optimal ignition level, your computer controls that
but if injectors or air flow is not capable of delivering what computer is demanding= you will have issues you described.
You will have flawless performance of your car until you hit higher demand (higher RPMS) you can verify by just driving under 3,500 rpms, if all your issues go away, then it’s simple
need new fuel filter if not replaced
higher yield fuel injectors
that should solve your problem

Unscrew the bank 2 front 02 sensor and leave it out and test drive. If the car drives better then the Cat is partially clogged and needs to be replaced. Seems the cats on the 3.0T motors running stage 2 for extended mileage can't handle the extra abuse.

Did you ever resolve this? I’m having the same issue
i am tuned on stage 2 DP this wasn’t happening
tried new spark plugs and ignition coil
i have upgraded hpfp and lpfp
injectors have new o rings
happens only above 4k rpm
