Noob question, how do you convert them?

In iTunes, you can convert them like this:

(1) go to Preferences, General, then click Import Settings

(2) Set "Import Using" to "MP3 Encoder"

(3) For "Setting", I suggest picking Custom and specifying the following:
Stereo Bit Rate: 320 kbps
Sample Rate: Auto
Channels: Stereo
Stereo Mode: Normal

This will produce bigger files but the quality will be better. Of course, if the AACs you're converting are of a lower quality to begin with, you'll be wasting space. But it'll work.

(4) Click OK, OK, OK.

(5) Click on any song you want to convert, then go to the Advanced menu, and click "Create MP3 Version". All done.

blueb8s4 - Just wondering if DigiSage's advice below worked for you. I'm about to follow these instructions if they work for the SD card transfer process.

I purchased an Album from iTunes and copied to SD card bur car would not play. I went bcd to iTunes and converted the files to MP3 and copied them to SD card. It plays fine now. Apple support will show hoe to concert files to MP3. iTunes files ar free to transfer to any device now.
