I'm in love....

I picked up my S4 tonight. I went from a VW R32 to this, and while I really liked my .:R, this is a whole new type of animal.

Specs are:

Ibis White
Premium +
Active Diff
Bang & Olufsen
19" Wheels

The wheel & tire combo that you see is my winter tire setup. 225x45R18 Alpin PA3 tires. Elbrus I05 ET35 wheels. I'm thoroughly impressed by the wheels, I wanted a no-fuss winter wheel that didn't look horrible and these fit the bill 110%. Plus, at a $125 ea...I'm still in awe at the quality. The perfect winter wheel!

Nice! By active diff, I assume you mean sport diff?

Congrats on the new car. How are the Alpin PA3 tires? Any bigger pics of the Elbrus I05 wheels ?

Did you have a MKIV or MKV R32? I have a MKV R32 and MKV GTI. Both with DSG. I had a MKV GTI with 6MT before I got the R. I'm just curious what tranny you had before and what you have now in the S4. I didn't like the GTI's 6MT too much. The clutch was a little too soft for my taste and the engine wasn't loud enough to give much tactile feedback. I'm torn between the 6MT and S-Tronic when I place my order for the S4. I love DSG, but I do miss a proper manual. It doesn't help that I can't really test drive the S4 before ordering it.

Nice - lots of luck. I post a lot of negative stuff about the B8 dashboard and interior bits, but basically this is a wonderful car - happy revving!!

I had a MKV R32 (DSG) and the S4 is a 6MT. I like both, I like the fast shifts from the DSG and how I could forget about shifting while during my regular commute...BUT, for everything else, I did miss having the manual...now that I went back to manual I don't miss having a DSG car at all.

Awesome. That's what I wanted to hear. Thanks! :)

Sweet another Ibis joins the club! Wow Alaska! That's Quattro country! Enjoy the new ride! You'll have to give us some feedback on the sport diff in the snow.
