Impressed with MMI (obviously a newb)

I think I'd prefer the "doughnut" space saver tire than no spare at all like BMW. Run flat tires don't protect against all damage and have you checked their replacement price?

No, not in the outback....very much one of the urban dwellers clinging to the fringe of the place in a big city (Sydney).
And I am absolutely satisfied i have some form of spare, but would always prefer a real one rather than the training wheel, even if that means their cars weigh more!

If you want a bit more amazement, hit the voice button on the steering wheel and say "I need gas". She promptly responds with a list of nearby gas stations and is more than willing to route you to any one of those. Even cooler if you happen to drive a TDI say "I need diesel" and she filters the list by gas stations that offer diesel. Came in very handy the last time I got an A6 TDI loaner.
Another cool one is say "I'm hungry" and you get a list of nearby restaurants.

Agreed. My last M3 had the "M mobility system" (i.e., goop to spray into the tire to get you somewhere that could replace it) and I ended up buying a space saver spare to keep in the trunk for road trips. My wife's minivan has run flats and we just had to replace one - they ain't cheap.

Really....it responds that way to "I am tired"? I need to check the MMI setting to see if you can turn on an "empathy" setting so it also says "Poor thing, but you are doing a great job!".
My daughter spends all this time trying to get Siri on her phone to respond in humorous (and inappropriate) ways. Maybe "MMI Marketa" is worth trying out. (e.g. "I like BMWs"...."That's OK you will be better soon")
