So it is an extended warranty. Cost? I paid $2700 for a Fidelity (what Audi was pushing at the time) extended warranty. 3 yrs 36k miles. It will be over on May 20. To date I have had no reason to make a claim. Feels like I wasted the money. Bought @ 48k miles and now have 73k.

I have a 2013 with 23500. Factory warranty will expire at the end of May.
I asked for one that will get me to 100k and I drive 15k/yr.
They are quoting me 5 years or 75000 miles for $3900 w/$100 deductible. Seems high.
Is price negotiable?

Here is my thought, These cars have been very reliable. If I had to do it again, I would put away $50-$75 away in a slush fund every month. Use that for repairs and keep the leftover money. If they are charging you $3900, the are betting you will not use that much in repairs. Unused money could be put toward brakes, rotors, tires battery, which WILL need attention at some point.

Thanks. My concern is the unknown costs that I might encounter making me regret my purchase. This is my first Audi.
The contract does not cover "FRICTION CLUTCH DISC, PRESSURE PLATE AND CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING". Are those part of the automatic transmission (which I have) or just the manual transmission?
Someone I spoke with mentioned issues with the 2013/2014 Dsg dual clutch transmission. Are they real and would they be covered by the clutch exclusion above?

They are part of the MT and almost never covered under warranty. Although the DSG trans is technically not an automatic trans with a torque converter, Audi seems to treat it as if it was and is generally covered under factory and extended warranties.
