Default Recovery Process

This is something that I never want to repeat ever again. The short. I was working late 1 Saturday and at the end of the day I decided to give my helper (who was limping all day) a ride back to his car that was on the other side of the parking lot. I WAS pulling out on the highway to go home at the time. Well I got to the top of the ramp and the seatbelt chime was going off so I decided to put it on at that time. Well in the middle of the second turn to the next parking lot I hit my arm of the hand that was holding the wheel an bang (and I do MEAN BANG) the steering wheel released and straightened out I recovered the wheel but the fact that my foot was on the gas not the break made a big difference the car (with all its power and might) lurched forward like well you all know, BANG. I hit that curb like I owned it and in a sense I do. I tried to recover but the 1 second that you have to react was not be enough. My 2012 Glacier White S4 was crippled it was in the shop for weeks 6 to be exact. By the time I got it back I had plenty of time to reflect and this is the outcome. First put your seatbelt on before you start rolling, second never go back and give a ride to a fellow worker when all you want to do is get home. Third, as soon as you can replace replace replace. I was never so upset at the people that worked on the car, that told me story after story about the time it would take and finely when it was done they still had so many thing to fix on it I decided to just replace it. 2013 Prestige 19” wheels etc… Moral of the story be safe.

Ouch, that's a sad story, but least you didn't get injured! Did the airbag inflate? Sounds like you've learned a lesson and good that you're moving forward with a brand new one. Drive carefully!

No air bags it was Oh so slow but I hit the wheel with so much force that it did 21,000 dollars worth of damage.
