Milltek non-resonated exhaust
I posted some thread that i am concerning between APR RSC exhaust and ECU tuning. Now, i made my mind to Milltek non-resonated exhausts and i ordered it. But with the dealer and others saying that with DSG, it drone in low RPM.
Does it really bother??
It will help me if some owners with Milltek non-resonated in DSG can tell me about this "drone" problem.
thanks guys

Only you can say if it will bother you. It WILL drone on a DSG, loudly (in my opinion) when the DSG is in 7th around 58-64mph (or really anytime you have the car betwen about 1800 and 2200RPMs.
Idle, accel and WOT sound amazing, as close to a V8 as you can make this car sound, but it comes at a cost to the sound when cruising, or giving light throttle (not enough to cause a downshift) when in a high gear lugging the engine.

It really does come down to what your tolerance is - and also the way u drive your car.
Right after the installation of my Milltek Non-Res, I had second thoughts b/c I did notice a drone just as NWS4Guy explained. However, if you plan on doing any other mods (e.g., tune, pulley, intake), the drone gets more drowned out by the engine noise (which itself sounds SOO much better than stock). I also noticed that the exhaust sounded better after the few-hundred mile break-in period. That said, I pretty much never hear the drone anyway b/c I drive in manual and don't often shift to 7th gear, even on the highway.
All in all, the exhaust is perfect for anyone who wants a deeper exhaust note that is prevalent throughout the drive and not just @ WOT.
