Agree with starting with fluid, pads, lines. Depending upon your driving style, the track, and your intent this may be all you need. If you do go BBK, only the pads are throwaway but you have to expect to change pads often tracking a 3800 lb car.

Sorry to resurrect this thread. I get why the brake dust shields are removed for track use. But why, then, are they there in the first place? From the name "brake dust shields", they are shielding the brake dust from getting on what? The dust seems to be all over the place regardless...
