More detail about the drive select:
http://www.topspeed.com/cars/audi/20...n-ar83825.html It does more than just have three settings. It actually has three programs that have a ranges of responses. ADS has a computer than makes 1000 adjustments a second, so even comfort mode can stiffen on hard braking to avoid dive and dynamic mode can absorb highway joints. I have the full ADS and would say that it is nice, but I am sure a non-ADS S4 is more than enough for most. I haven't driven a non-ADS except for one test drive, so I can't compare. I can say that the B8 in dynamic mode still seems a bit softer than my old B5 S4. But that may be that the ADS is doing all those calculations and actually preventing roll, dive and squat better while giving a bit less jarring ride. I think the chart the last poster referred to is in this thread: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...=1#post4981728 |
