obdeleven works !!
I purchased an obdeleven PRO from DeutsheAutoParts and I got it in the
mail today. I have a 2016 q5 and 2015 s4. I wanted to turn off the "service due" on the s4 and it worked flawlessly. It took less than 10 min to set it up and hit the one touch app to reset the service message. If you like doing stuff to your car yourself this thing makes it really easy. This one app saved me $75.00 that the dealer wanted plus I didn't have to spend time getting to the shop. I look forward to learning what else I can do with this device. |
Cost?

$60.00 plus NC tax (if you live in NC)

Too bad it won't work on a iPhone
|
I too was disappointed when it didn't work with my iPhone. However, after purchasing a digiland tablet at Best Buy for $35, it worked perfectly and it's now located permanently in my car. I really like it a lot more than having it on my phone anyway...

Wow I purchased the same tablet (digiland dl721rb) from Best Buy to use with the device

Do you have any idea how it compares to Carista?
|
No but the obdeleven is only for VW/Audi cars and the app graphics/instructions are outstanding Download the app on the google playstore and see how it functions The app is free and you can sample it without having the device

I think Carista can turn off the 'Service Due" indication, but not 100% because I haven't had to do that. The dealership does it when I bring it in for service. I did, however, use Carista last night to increase my DRL brightness with the headlights on up to 50% as well as turn on the oil temperature indicator and lap timer. The recent reviews of odbeleven are mixed, but customer service seems responsive. The costs seem about even though. I think I paid $20 for Carista (I got in at the beginning) and $30 or $40 for the dongle. Carista pricing has changed now, which stinks.
