I sold my B6 several years ago and figured I would circle back around some day. I was pretty bored with my BMW (excellent car, just not that exciting to drive) and started test driving everything Audi. Looked at a 2010 R8 (no way to get a passenger AND clubs in the car)....S6, A7, TTRS, S4, SQ5...and I just couldnt find a better all around DD than the S4. I figured I would have to order one because of my option requirements but my local dealer found one of three either in the country or on the ship with the combo I wanted. A day later, and my name was on it. Arrives at port on Friday and I should take delivery some time next week. Im planning an AWE exhaust and software (not sure which brand) in the first month.

Going to be one nice looking car, congrats!

Careful with the tuning, you'll likely get your powertrain warranty voided when you go in for scheduled maintenance. If that doesn't bother you, then have at it.

Nice order. I ordered mine yesterday but they couldn't find one existing so will be waiting about 3 months to get it. Also getting the black optic package, but with a phantom black body color. Can't wait!

I don't think there is any software available for the 14's, at least I haven't found any. I looked at APR and Stasis. Let me know if you find anything.

In talking with someone at AWE, he was pretty certain the software for 13's would also work on 14's but needed to verify.

Does anyone know if there is an AoA number to call get to a real status on an incoming car? My car supposedly arrived at port last Monday and was released to carrier Tuesday night or Wednesday. Now, the dealer is saying it will "show up when it shows up". If that is really the best they can do, that is ridiculous - esp given I can track an F'ing USPS package anywhere/anytime. I have ordered cars before and the dealers almost knew the hour the truck was going to arrive (which helped me coordinate my trip to actually pick up the car)....is there any resource available to get more info??

It sounds like your dealer is being an ***. You can track your car from Germany to the US via ehharmsusa. But once it lands stateside I believe the dealer has that information. They can pull up the vehicle information but some can be rude about it. Admittedly there can be delays at port beyond their control but they should know which truck it'll be on and what day it's arriving. I mean, it's not a total surprise when a truck with a load of Audi's gets dropped off.

Thanks, Osi. I reached out to my salesman and the GM today to let them know I was a little perturbed and it seemed to finally light a fire under them. They were able to get a hold of the distribution person down at the port and confirm that my car has been sitting on a carrier since last week - awesome - and the carrier isnt leaving yet because there are only 5 cars on it (all 5 are coming to DSM) and it holds 6 cars. So, because they can't seem to find a 6th car to throw on the truck, mine will sit there until they do. The distribution person anticipated the carrier would be filled tomorrow and be on its way. Seems like an extra week of waiting for a pretty silly logistical issue.
