Problem with AudiConnect WiFi access point
Hi;
I picked up my 2013 S4 on Friday; trying to configure AudiConnect and having a problem - any help would be appreciated.
I changed the WiFi SSID information and password - I can still connect from any of the devices I've tested with. However, the WiFi DHCPD server gives our 192.168.2.x DNS addresses, which I'm pretty sure is wrong - it hands out 192.168.1.10x addresses for devices. None of the devices can connect to anything unless I manually change the DNS address (I've tried Google's public server - 8.8.8.8) - then it works. I think this is a bit out of my dealer's technical area (network troubleshooting), but I can't find anything on Audiusa.com.
Does the AudiConnect internet connection work for anyone ? What DNS IP addresses do you get ?
Any advice would be appreciated; thanks !

My 2013 isn't in yet but since this is something I'm pretty familiar with, what's the netmask set at? Most home based routers will just set a class C type address (netmask: 255.255.255.0) which would mean everything should be the same except for the last number. Usually, the router address (gateway) becomes your DNS address as it repeats the information that it gets from it's upstream connection but that's not always the case.

That indeed doesn't sound right since 192.168 is all private and the .2.100/101 would not be reachable without going out through the router. Without looking at the actual configuration interface, I can't say why it's doing what it's doing. I would just set the DNS servers in your clients for now so that things work. Unfortunately, my car won't be in until late Sept. or early Oct. so it will be a while before I get to take a look.
