Default Purchasing Audi Care

First time poster - thanks everyone here for the great info.

I'm getting ready to order a 2011 S4, but am having difficulty getting the dealers in my area (SF Bay Area) to throw in or negotiate on Audi Care. My understanding is that I can buy Audi Care from any dealership. Does anyone have a contact somewhere that can give some good deals on it?

I think there is only about $50 profit for the dealer on Audicare.

To get the dealer to throw in Audicare is is to get a $750 discount on the price of the car.

Did you get a reasonable discount on the vehilce off MSRP? Most Bay Area dealers are trying to sell for MSRP. Los Angeles is much cheaper.

It's hard to get much off on the S4 at Bay Area dealership. I got mines from Rector and it was tough getting anything off. They were able to knock a little bit off compared to others I visited. Very professional, courteous, and friendly staff. I even tried to get a quote from AMEX/Zag car buying service and there are no participating dealerships but two in the area and both only offered $50 off. I punch in BMW and other manufacturers and got close to invoice through AMEX / Zag. The S4 seems like it is still produced in limited numbers and hard to get a good deal on it. The one thing I've noticed though is that the markup on BMW's are so much higher while the difference between advertised invoice and msrp is less on Audi's.

Ah okay. I have a supplier discount that gets me down to $500 above invoice. That probably explains why they're not willing to negotiate at all on the Audi Care.

Yea with Supplier (like me and several others around here) you won't get many who will do much with you on the AudiCare.

I would try to have it thrown in with the car. I didn't have to haggle with my salesman too much for him to throw it in. Doesn't hurt just asking. Good luck!

+1 Hard to get a "deal" when there's only $50.00 profit built into the "option" of Audi-Care.

Look at it from a different prospective... You're going to save 30-35% off the price of the four services covered (15k, 25k, 35k & 45k) versus paying for them out-of-pocket as they come up. ($1,100.00 vs $790.00)

Just out of curiosity, how did you come up with the $1,100 figure?
