rain guard/deflectors
Has anyone on here considered installing rain guards?
I'm considering these:

I'm unsure of how they'd look. Would anyone happen to have pictures on their B8?
Thanks.

I like them on my full-size Ford van tow vehicle. I think they are bigtime fugly on a nice car.
Here they are on a B5.

[QUOTE=S4inSilver;24393468]I'm going on record to say that I am not a fan of rain guards, but I do have a question (and I am not being at all facetious): what exactly is their purpose? Is it so that you can crack the window while it's raining? How far can you put the windows down before the rain comes in?

Since they allow you to crack the window a few inches without getting water/snow in...
It came in handy when I used to smoke. I'm not saying I'll be smoking in this car. I guess I became accustomed to rain guards from my previous car.
ultimately, it's a preference.
