I have a 2013 S4 Audi. Does anyone know how to remove the rear plastic license plate holder that the license plate screws into? One of the 4 screws was missing and when I took the license plate off I noticed the metal backing that the screws screw into was missing. Oddly enough I also have been hearing a clanking sound when opening the hood (like a loose coin) which I think is this metal backing. I tried to take the plastic backing off which had 2 hex screws but it was still firmly attached. My assumption is that if I can take this plastic license plate holder off I will find the missing metal backing and then can reattach everything. But not sure how to take that off. Does anyone here know?
