Many thanks RobC for the note concerning the VALET BUTTON. Yes I hit it by accident and couldn't open the trunk other than by using the emergency lever. Joined the group and hey presto. Thanks.

Just got my 2015 RS5 out of summer storage (its my winter dd). Only problem was that neither the passenger door nor the trunk would open from the outside or by remote.

Would open with the unlock button and trunk unlock switch in the drivers side.

Found out the car reprogrammed itself. So l changed the settings and now it works fine.

Yes, thank you!!!!!! ob_1jr ade Bobby are my new favorite people. I had this issue with my Q5 hatch and could not figure out what it was until I read the posts. I feel really silly now, but very happy.

This is the problem with my S5 too. Can't open the rear lid with the fob key. The switch on the driver door's side can open it just fine though. Apparently resetting the fob key solved the problem. You
reset it by removing the battery inside the fob key and then install it back.

2003 A4…conv. top got stuck mid way..managed to get it secured after watching you tube video. Dashboard light still on. My problem…can’t open trunk with remote OR inside button. Only with the key. Do I have to get the light cleared off the dash in order to reset remote trunk functions?
