Winter tire size question
Hi there, winter will be upon us soon and I am thinking of getting winter tires for my B8 S4.
My friend has a set of winter wheels and tires for his TT that he unfortunately has to sell. Do you guys know whether they would fit? My B8 is Premium Plus with the 19-inch wheel option.

VMR v708 Gun Metal
18x8.5
ET45
5x112
Tires
-----
225/45R-18 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3

FWIW, Modbargains says those wheels will fit a B8 S4. The tires have a slightly lower weight rating than the typical 245/40/18 or 255/35/19, but it should be okay as it's over 1500lbs. Maybe run an extra pound or two in the tires to compensate.

Do the wheels have the correct center bore? AFAIK, the TT has a different center bore.

Thanks everyone for replying!!
The TT wheels probably won't fit as the centerbore is not big enough for S4.
So I am looking for some wheels on eBay... and I always loved the A5/S5 rims.
Do you guys think this will fit B8 S4? The offset is a bit low (35mm), but I think it might be fine since I am planning to get 18x8 tires for winter and keep the OEM 19 x 8.5 for summer, so the tires will be 1.5 mm more "outside".

Yes, those should work. They'll be further out than say the stock 18's (which are ET47 I think) but they won't rub or anything. They might toss a little more crud up onto your fenders though.

Thanks Charlie!
That's the part that's puzzling me a bit.
So the 18 OEM wheel is narrower and has a higher offset than 19 OEM? Does that mean the 18 OEM wheel is more "inside", and hence will throw less crud, by design?
I might go for this one if offset is a bit of a problem. It looks similar to the titanium package wheel and has 45mm offset I think. =)

Those look the same as the Alzor wheels that ECS carries ... I picked up a set of those that will be going on my 13 later this year. They were a few bucks more than the eBay vendor though but I would have ended up paying tax on those which would have made them basically the same price.
Oh, and yes, hopefully they'll toss a little less crud up on the car than say an ET35 wheel in the same size would.

I think those look great. I was on the fence between them and the Ti reps but wanted something in gunmetal or anthracite to help hide the crud between washings during the Winter. Did you replace the center caps or just leave what they came with?
