17 inch wheels on an S4 b9??
Hello,
I just bought my S4 last month. I got mine with summer tires thinking I can use a winter spare set that I have.
Does anyone know if a 17 inch rim would clear the 6 piston brake caliper? I know I might have to use a spacer but will the brake caliper fit in the 17 inch wheel diameter?
Thanks

When I was shopping for winter wheels around this time last year, TireRack's search wizard did have a very select few 17" packages that they claimed would work and thus offered a fitment guarantee on. I doubted it at the time: such a guarantee certainly helps protect your money but it does not protect your time if you have to cash in on it, and the front brakes of this car are huge.
I went with 18" and am happy I did: after fitting them still can not see how any 17" wheel design would have possibly cleared the front brakes of this car and still managed to keep its shape structurally. The gap between front caliper and the inner barrel of my 18" winter set is not even as wide as my pinky.
