Reviving an (interesting) old thread, to avoid starting a new one. Does anybody know what kind of differential my S6 with S sport package has? Hope it's a Torsen, but with the diesel-gate cost-cutting, I doubt it. Also interested if it has a center differential, like Subarus, or it's integrated with the transmission. Trying to learn about my new car, but nobody (even Audi) includes technical info anymore. Thx.

Quick question regarding the adaptive dampenng suspension. Does it also function similar to the Ford Fusion Sport pothole mitigation? My plan is to order my S4 in the next month or so. Caught a pothole this morning, and now I'm heading to the tire shop. Large sidewall bulge. I currently have 17" wheels, with enough sidewall that protected my wheel. (From what I can see) If you'e not familiar with the Ford pothole mitigation, below is a link to a short video.

All this talk of sport diff has me thinking

Just curious as to important is the rear sport diff in regards to the 2018 Sq5? How beneficial would it be? Additionally if planning on keeping the vehicle past warranty would there be expensive maintenance costs?
