Default Auto engine off
The auto engine off button drives me insane!

is there anyway to have the engine off button default to off??

I believe ODBEleven can disable engine auto-off. Give that search-thing a try?

OBD11 doesn't disable it, but you can change settings via OBD 11 so it doesn't turn off as long as the AC is on. If you turn off the AC the auto off works as designed.

Yes, and I did it with my VCDS, HEX-USB+CAN. This isn't the latest version, but it can still read and write to the AC controller.

The start-stop was driving me insane, and I didn't want to pay for the OBD11 just for this function since I've had VCDS for a long time.

Yes, that's pretty much how it works. Warning: their app only works on Android. At least it did when I last checked...

For many of us, that's not a viable option. I find it extremely annoying when the transmission doesn't shift when it's supposed to.

Still only android. I bought a $30 tracphone at Walmart that does the OBDeleven job fine. Totally worth it for the things you can do. OP this is your answer.
