Thanks, amigo. You're right, I shouldn't complain too much about the rain when it sounds like the US has been blasted with freezing temps lately. Stay warm!

Why thank you, I'm a bit fond of them. Buying wheels in Germany is foolishly expensive so I actually had them shipped from TireRack as a winter set. Andros R10 wheels (18x8 et35) and Michelin tires (X-Ice Xi3).

Looks good, audi_bimmer_10280. I've got daytona gray, too, and just had Xpel installed last week. How did yours turn out? I'm a bit disappointed by the fit and finish of mine, which seems sloppy considering the high price of getting Xpel installed over the full front and hood. Even after a week there are still places where the film hasn't properly adhered, most notably at the bodywork bends between the headlights and lower faux-air intakes.

There are also places where the film extends beyond the bodywork a bit, like the transition between the bumper at lower faux-air intake:

Also, did your installer cover the front of the bottom lip? The film on mine covers the top (the surface that hits the grill) but then stops right at the edge and doesn't wrap around. It seems like the most chip-prone area of the entire car.

I'm going to meet my installer this week to discuss these concerns, as well as others that I have. I'd like to know if my expectations are too high before I demand that he fix it.

Daniel113, I'm going to "waterless wash" the front tomorrow AM (it's still below freezing here in NJ so no hand wash unfortunately), and will re-check the XPEL application. It was near 60 degrees the other day, and now it's in the 20s again, so I'd like to see what effect this has on a recent XPEL treatment. You're first pic looks like air pockets?

The parents are out of town for a few months, so their cars have come over to my house for safekeeping and to play with my B9.

So I've got 5 months to compare the supercharged and dual-clutch B8.5 with the turbocharged and ZF torque-converter B9. I'd like to take them both out for a proper photo shoot. Let the games begin...
