Bike hitch for S4/B9
I'm an avid mountain biker, I ride 2-4 times a week. I currently have a roof rack on my S4, which I prefer not to have. My previous Audis, 2008 A4 and 2016 A4, I have used hitches from Etrailer.com, trunk mount hitch. With the hitch mount I use a Oneup bike rack, 1 1/4" mount, which is rated to close to 200lbs. I normally only have one bike on it, which is not even close to max load capacity. My question, any other mountain bikers out there who have found a hitch option that is high enough not to drag on the ground when on the throttle ?? I recently check etrailer.com and they now offer a hitch for 2018 S5, I can't imagine the ride height being much different??

Avid biker as well. Your roof rack is absolutely without question the answer to the question of "how do I haul bikes with an S4" in my opinion, but if you really can't be talked out of dremeling a 2" x 5.5" hole in your $51,000+ car, then I will tell you that I know curtmfg.com makes a hitch for the B9 A4, and I also know that people have successfully installed their B8.5 A4 hitches from them on a B8.5 S4 before. You're definitely the first question to ask this question about the B9 on Audiworld, though, so I would call or email them before you order.
