Brand New Leased B9S4
Good morning all. I just wanted to get opinions on my recently leased B9S4. I recently leased a 2018 audi s4. amazing car! well msrp was at 6100 and they dropped it down to 5600. purchase price at the end of the lease is set at 37000. I pay 800 monthly which already includes tax and this is for 36 months. I put upfront was 1500 was for the first months lease along with title/registration/fees. I wanted to get opinions on all this even though I signed the papers. thanks so much in advance.

I suspect your numbers are not exact and perhaps rounded up/down for convenience? I don't know how sales tax is applied or the rate where you are. With that said, it looks like a good discount of around 8% which from what we have seen of dealer documentation would be below invoice (7%).
We'd need exact numbers (MSRP, cap cost, MF, residual, etc, acquisition, lease end fee, actual payment, doc/title, sales tax etc) to determine how good the deal really was. Sales taxes and how they are applied also make it difficult to gauge.

Getting $5K off is pretty impressive -- as a stand-alone data point, certainly. I'm wondering if the miles are 15K and if the car is a prestige configuration, which is certainly not out of the possibility of having a $61,000 MSRP.
Was this leased through AFS or some other lender?
Finally, who gives a flip if "we" think it is a good deal? If you're pleased with the deal, that counts a lot more than the folks (and they know who they are) who claim -- no matter what -- they could do it better.
I got 6.5% off and I'm fine as wine with mine.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I wont be able to get the exact numbers just yet as I just flew out to Mississippi to meet my ship. Hopefully I'll be back in a few weeks and get you guys the numbers. Markcincinnati, you are right though... I shouldn't give a flip. I was just wondering and trying to get some info out there to people who are in the market for one. The car is amazing though!

so maybe just a lil more info...
Premium Plus Package. MSRP $60,500.00 includes (tech package, sport package, dynamic steering package, 19" wheels, carbon fiber inlays, and in metallic black)
Invoice was about $57,300 or so.
Selling price as right about $56,000.
$740.00 per month (or $800.00 with californias 8% tax)
10k miles per year
36 month lease
price of car at end of loan $37,000
$1,500 upfront ($800 for the first month / $700.00 for registration, tax and title)
From what I remember this was about it....

I don't wanna flame anyone, but each one of these "great deals" I see with more than 7% MSRP discount it's always a lease. It's not apples to apples with ouright purchase discounts.
Think about it this way... take out taxes, registration, etc. In order to own the car, you pay $740 for 36 months, total of $26,640. Then you pay the $37k to buy it at the end of that period. Total purchase price of $63,640. $3,000 OVER MSRP!
I understand the benefits of leasing vs buying in certain situations and particularly if you are going to move into another new vehicle in less than 5 years. Unless I'm missing something, every one of the lease posts claiming large MSRP discounts is not considering the total purchase cost.
So what am I missing?

If you bought the same car for a standard ACNA 6% discount (S4's are eligible) in cash, you'd pay $56,870. After three years, you sell it for the agreed residual of $37,000, and so would have paid the equivalent of $552 a month instead of $740 a month. That's about a $7000 difference over 3 years. There's a reason the auto industry calls it a "Flease". The customer has to come back to get shorn again and again, and again.
