Cable route for dash-cam?

Yes, I recommend using a mirror tap. All things considered with regard to how these cars are built, it couldn't be simpler. See this thread: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/aud...d-wire-2931250

I used a mirror tap for my radar detector, but i ran a cable down to the 12v plug under the climate controls for my dash cam.
I ran it under the headliner, down the passenger A-pillar, and under the glovebox/dash over to the 12v. It actually hides pretty well. I just stuffed the cable between and behind the various panels with a trim removal tool.

Do you find that the stop/start resets the radar?

My radar detector retains it's settings on every power cycle. I've never had a problem with it. I'd definitely prefer to not have the detector running while the car isn't running.

Start/stop does indeed power cycle my V1 every single time it engages (specifically, the V1 cycles when the car starts back up, not when it stops)......same as it did when I powered it off the cig lighter cord.
