Just called an Audi dealer (Ontario) closest to me. $88 CAD for an oil filter????? Called a Volkswagen dealer close to me, and he sourced an after market one for $60 CAD. I find this very hard to believe since the genuine Audi/VW are selling for $11.60 US on ECS.

Any Canadian owners doing their own oil service and sourcing reasonable filters????

For 2.0 TFSI motor German OEM (on-line vendor) has Mann oil filters for< $20, under 1$12 in larger quantity. Lordco Parts (BC) charges ~ $18 w/o discount.

I see you're in Ontario. Read from another member on here that suggested calling up www.exoparts.com and speak to Sean.

He should sort you out just fine. They are a wholesaler of genuine OEM parts.

Get it in the US... Either drive there (if you're close enough) and buy it there, or order it on-line and get it delivered in a UPS-style PO box and go pick it up. The price of the filter in Canada is completely ridiculous and I will never buy one here at that price.

Yes. I guess S car owners in Canada are considered suckers by the dealer network. Like many things, we pay more up here. Except that, in this case, it's almost 10 times more, and that's why I get it in the US.

Will US places ship to Canada? If not I'd be happy to grab you a few from the dealership. That's absolute nuts what they charge up there.
