So, a few months ago, I could have sworn I checked this and determined that if the child window lockout button was pressed on the driver side door, that the rear HVAC and seat heater buttons were disabled.. But it seems now, those controls still do work when the window lock is enabled.. I did have the TSB applied that fixed the preset mode on the MMI, which also changed the temperature at which the oil temperature started appearing -- and now I am wondering if that may have impacted the child lockout of the HVAC controls.. Of course its also possible that when I tested this, I may have incorrectly assumed it was doing what I wanted.

Can someone else verify whether or not pressing the child window lock button disables the HVAC control in the back? As far as the seat warmers, that would only apply if you had the cold weather package as well.

It only disables the window controls; nothing else. The HVAC and seat warmers will still operate as normal. The owner's manual also reflects this.

You can still control the temperature in the rear independently, but you can always force it to what the driver side A/C is using [Sync] instead of [3-Zone] in the synchronization menu.
