I was also in the same boat deciding between S5SB and S4 and ultimately went with S4. As others said the $4K upcharge for styling was a factor, apart from lesser deals on the S5SB. The SB does look cool but I went with the classic look of the S4. Plus, the S4 is rated a full second faster 0-60 (just kidding, I would have never known)

I went with the S4 Prestige + Napa leather, too. But, in my case, my wife has a 2018 SQ5 which takes care of the Costco trips. The S4, I think, is THE bargain in the Audi lineup and when compared with comparably equipped Bimmers and Mercs.
