I'm with you on this one. I'll clean every other aspect of the car while washing, except the exhaust tips. Not going to touch that **** if it's going to be in same condition a day later.

I am fine with dirty exhaust tip, they don’t look too bad with some black carbon. what drives me crazy is the crazy amount of brake dust

Adams all purpose cleaner every week or two with a microfiber towel keeps them shiny. If you let it go too long some Adams metal polish #1, also with a mf towel brings them back without being harsh on the finish.

I was going to try this stuff (found it on sale locally) but it Specifically says on the label: NO CHROME.

I mean, it's ONLY the exhaust tips...but I was thinking of trying it on my SS motorcycle exhausts as well. The label says nothing about being good or bad on SS.

Hmmmm........

I had mine ceramic coated (don’t remember the brand) when I had my whole car coated. Each high-end coating brand should have a specialized versions for plastics, paint, wheels and metal/high temp. Makes it easier to clean tips, but still need a little elbow grease with a microfiber towel and soap. The durability is probably not as good as on paint since you have to run a lot more and harder, but so far so good after about 9 months.
