Thanks for the update, stanj. Sorry to hear about the ABS controller and that you're stuck with a stripped A4. Good news is that it's fixable and everything was related to a single failure.

I spoke with my service advisor today and heard the same about the top view camera reset being worked on. Also heard that the reverse side mirror auto adjust bug is also a known issue and is being worked on. Hopefully we'll see a MMI update soon to address some of these annoyances.

Heh, actually I'm a Swiss living abroad, but back in 1997 I needed a nocturnal animal that fits into 7 characters and isn't an abbreviation (because abbreviations are such an American thing). A long search with Altavista and Lycos (remember them?) came up with Pot, which is an odd creature and thus a perfect fit for me: it hasn't evolved in millions of years, so it's like me still stuck in puberty. The B9 Pot doesn't have a prefix yet, he has to earn it first, although his early stay at the shop is a hint.

Maybe we should start a new thread, "S4s on flatbeds". I am a crazy photographer (I have a server closet with several NASs worth of photos and video, about 200TB worth, but that's a different story), but somehow I can't believe I don't have photos of my tow truck escapades.

• B5 S4 (QuickPot, probably my favorite car of all times) was flat bedded once, with an exploded engine. Was lemoned and I got a silver one as replacement.
• To my best knowledge, B5 Silver Pot never got towed
• My B7 S4, Ugly Pot, got flatbedded at least once. I got the ignition coil recall notice, and thought, meh, I'm already scheduled for service next week. Two days before the service was due I found myself on a flatbed. The sound of that car was phenomenal, when not on the flatbed.
• My B8 S4 got flatbedded twice. Once because a squirrel made a nest in its engine bay while I was on vacation, and then decided to die there. When I turned it on the smell was epic. $800 in damage. Second time I forgot why. I don't have any pictures, which is shocking, but I do have a picture of the squirrel nest and the dead squirrel (my sales guy sent it to me from the shop)
• Well and now the B9 with the Xmas ornaments.

Why exactly do I keep buying them? :)

Well, for anyone watching - it's been two weeks and I'm still waiting for the replacement part...

Actually, it was towed due to a double blowout after hitting a pothole--only one spare. So, not Audi's fault. BTW, at the time I was toying with going up to 20". The blowout ended those thoughts.

As for color, although white is nice and a different look for me, I love Navarra and would have gone for it, but my B8 (which I traded out of for the B9) was moonlight blue and didn't want to go blue again.
