Looking For Opinions....

So...my dilemma. I have an '18 that I"m leasing but putting more miles than I had intended due to a job change. At my current rate I will have approximately 60K miles at the time of turn in (Dec 2020). My dilemma is do I stay below the 50K threshold so I'm in warranty and buy a used car to offset the excess mileage or do I chance crossing the 50K mark and hope that I have no major issues before turn in (extended warranty I was quoted is expensive for a short period of coverage).
I may be able to pull forward if and when the opportunity exists but who knows. Excess mileage charges aside looking for opinions and thoughts on potential problems after the warranty is up.
Thanks!

I have had this problem before.
throw a massive tune on the engine and just say "f" it...

more seriously. I have never met anyone that owned a modern car, that had engine failure, transmission failure, etc.
most cars these days are built to last way over their warranties.

other option is to buy the car, finance it, and put it on autotrader and see over time see if anyone buys it. I did this with my polestar.
it took 6 months but it worked and i broke even.

cheers

Purchase/sell option I had not considered...thxs!

If there's anything we share in abundance around here is opinions. So here's mine. Having owned 4 Audi's I can say that they really don't start getting expensive to maintain until you are above 100K miles. So I wouldn't worry about driving it to 60K. I have noticed that the resell value really plummets above 60K though so bear that in mind.

Thanks...just trying to pick everyone's/anyone's brain who may have been in my shoes with Audi previously. I had a '99 A4 that I purchased off of lease due to mileage and it cost me a fortune in repairs. While I realize today's Audi's are significantly different/better, I'm just once bitten, twice shy....

Oh yes they are much better than the B5 days.
