Also, I always leave my car in Dynamic, and when starting the car in the morning, all 4 open initially -- but then (at least in cold weather) 3 close and leave only 1 open while in Park.. So there may be some variability depending on when the car reaches operating temperature.

Like I said, no need to guess, just go look under the car. You can see them and what position they are in. The valves are always fully open or fully closed.
