Any updates on MPGs for everyone? It's good to see how it is when the cars have been broken in for some time.

I'm comfortably over 1000 miles now. The car has gotten livelier to the point where I now don't miss (so much) my B7 S4's V8. Mileage on my commute has improved a touch from when I got the car new. Non-highway drive to work and sometimes seeing an indicated 28 or 29 mpg (US) whereas in the B7, the best I usually got was 24.

However, now I can open it up and the "fart-can" exhaust has found it's voice, I can also get gas mileage worse around town than the old B7 V8.

Yep...if you are on the throttle with a turbo for a while that gas MPG is going to go down.

At about 1700 miles now. In the midwestern US 700-900 feet above sea level.
28-31 mpg highway on long interstate drives.
14-16 mpg city.

I was curious on this because it seems lots are getting well below the average MPG in the city. 21 is on the window but people in here are saying they are getting like 13-14...that's WAY below average even taking into account a few MPG difference in how the EPA gets their #s.

So either everyone is having a bit too much fun in the city, they are driving in S mode all the time, or the MPG for the city needs to be re-looked at at by the Fuel.Gov people because people getting 15 MPG is worse then some V8's.

@Spartan-S5 Few folks have mentioned not to trust the on-board computer.
Taking that into consideration, based on the on-board computer, I have yet to get anywhere above 16mpg in the city and that is driving in D, not going over like 2.5k RPMs. The maximum I reached on the highway was 27mpg (once so far in the 3.8k miles driven), and that was also driving in D, not going over approx 2.5k RPMs.

It's not you. It's pretty terrible. Computer indicated 13.6mpg on a 5-6 mile drive across town for some errands yesterday evening.

That said, these are S cars: who cares about MPG, put the nozzle in and pay the man. I just wish the tank was a little bigger...

Sure they are S cars but that doesn't mean you can't have your cake and eat it to.

If the window sticker says 21 city and you're getting 16 then there's a big issue. The Fueleconomy/EPA drives these things like normal drivers supposedly drive, so 16 for a v6 is not that good at all especially in this day and age and especially with this type of car.

I was getting a little bit better milage on the E90 M3 V8 and a lot better on the F82 M4 I6... so something is wrong here..
