Short Trips and Optimal Temps

Short Trips and Optimal Temps
What is considered "optimal operating temperature"? With winter coming, I'd like to have an idea of what is considered up to temp? Right now, I stay out of the throttle until I reach 180°F or more. That temp comes up pretty quickly, when ambient temp is over 70°F. I'm in Michigan and winter temps drop well below that. What do you guys bring your temps up to, when doing shorter trips in the winter? Also, for comparison purposes, what temps are you guys seeing when fully up to temp? My car is between 200°F - 210°F. (I've tried attaching a screenshot from the manual page 81, but my phone doesn't seem to want to load it. I'll try again, when I get to my computer.)

If you can display it, oil temp is a better indicator of operating conditions, etc.

He is referring to oil temps. Asking what the optimal oil temps are. My general rule is minimum 180 but I generally sit around 200. As low as 190 and as high as 228 after it is fully warm depending on my driving is what I have seen personally.

The answer is on page 11 of your owner's manual. This is the very first subject covered after the graphics showing what all the various switches and buttons do.
