Is there an actual 'break-in' procedure on the S4?

Is there an actual 'break-in' procedure on the S4?
Our S4 should be arriving at the san diego port in the next 10 days.
As this is the first brand-new car we've ever bought, and I never had to deal with this previously --- are cars still requiring a 'break-in' procedure or that RPMs be kept below a certain range for the first 1K miles or so? Or any other 'best' practices you have used on your brand-new cars?
Any insight is appreciated!

It's in the handbook. up to 600 miles, keep it under 4000. Then as working up to 1000 miles, you can open it up a bit.
Just drive it in D-Comfort and don't be a hooligan.
Porsche always advise to stay off the cruise control to not keep running at a constant RPM.
Mine just went over 1000 about 3 weeks ago and it was starting to loosen up. the "BAAARP" on upshift is giggle-inducing, even though I sometimes find my old self wondering if it wouldn't have been more fitting in a Civic with a fart-can exhaust...

I used the cruise control all the time during break in, but every few minutes I would shift from D to S which would cause the trans to downshift to 7th gear and the revs to increase. Then a few minutes later it was back to D so it would shift back into 8th and the revs would drop again. Occasionally I'd use the paddles to downshift to 6th, taking care to keep the revs under 4K though.

You can do a long highway drive. Just switch gears occasionally to change the revs. Even in 6th gear on the highway you are still under the max rpm recommended for break in.

Most engines have seen redline before they leave the factory even if it's just a dry run. Some of you probably wouldn't want to see what some dealers do to new cars. I watched them drive my new BMW like they were running from the cops just to prove to me I didn't need an oil cooler even though I paid for one and they left it out on build. I finally got one anyway even though they tried hard not to give me what I paid for.

That's why I will only take an ordered car that comes right off the truck and into my hands. Take a vehicle from the lot that has had even a single test drive? No thanks.
