Because it still offers 99% UV and 52% heat rejection. That's why I do it, anyway.

Anybody familiar with Terra Flex Film? The tint shop here uses it, and I’ve never had it on a car before.

Just upgraded by A4 to a Silver S4 a couple of months ago and now considering a 60% 3M Crystalline tint for sun protection...I don't really want my car to look really dark especially in PA with its tint laws so I'm thinking about going with a high % tint.

I was curious how much some of you have paid for 3M crystalline in your install? Also, I know the B8 had some issues with water getting into the amplifier when doing the rear window Anyone run into any issues with the B9 in terms of water ingress in door panels or the rear?

I've been talking to a pretty highly rated tint shop in the area who has done a lot of high end cars but at the end of the day I am still a bit weary as I don't want any issues with water getting into the door or into the back (if the amp is still designed like the b8)

A bit of a stretch but if anyone is in the central PA area and can recommend a tint shop, that'd be great!

Thanks in advance!

Here in the notoriously expensive SF Bay Area I have paid always around $750 for Crystalline 70 sides & back (minimal heat rejection difference to 60, yet decidedly brighter). This was the cost on my 2011 Focus Electric, 2011 S4, 2015 Mercedes BEV, 2018 S4, 2018 Leaf.

Default Success

I just picked up my S4 with tinted windows. I’m thrilled to be able to minimize the heat and glare.

I elected Rayno Phantom S9 in 40% on the sides and rear (amazing heat reduction near 90%+) and Llumar Air 80 on the windshield. The installation place was very highly rated and the guys seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. Cost was just over $500 plus tax.
