Default The "Pull" continues...

Just wanted to bring everone up to date on the "pull".
A week ago I brought the car into (Zumbach Motors, NYC) one last time for this 'pull to the right' thing I've had since forever. This is the worst it has been since I picked up the car. Long story short; they test drove it, a tech took it home for the weekend and experienced the violent pull right, so I've been vindicated; I'm not crazy after all!!!

The dealer has had it for a week and they're scratching their heads. They've pulled the car apart and can't find any thing wrong with it. I just got off the phone with the service manager, and he told me today that they've done all they can so they're going to put it back together. The AoA field rep has been kept up to date on the situation as he drove my car first week in Feb. and the ar pulled to the right then, too.

They can't fix it, and they have admitted it. I'm anticipating the AoA rep will call me sometime in the next couple of days. What is procedure at this point?

- Will he offer me another? or can I pick anything from the Audi line?
- If I refuse another Audi, what are my options?
- Bottom line: will I have to go Lemon Law to force AoA's hand?

Anything, any info would be helpful.

Thanks for listening,

Default Possible cause could be tire

I have recently been struggling with the alignment on my daily commuter (non-audi). After having several alignments with no real results they suggested that a defect in a tire belt could be the cause (belts not evenly aligned in tire during manufacture). I suggest you have them swap tires from a different car and see if the problem goes away. It would be a shame to get rid of your car because of a faulty tire.

Default If it is not too late, get the dealer to put it in writing that they cannot fix the problem (m)

I would hate for AoA to "change" the dealers mind. Have then put it in the service report and give you a copy.

I doubt you will get your choice from the Audi stable. No RS6 for you.

A replacement or refund would be my best guess (or "store credit" towards a new one). Do not get defense or aggressive until all talks break down. Courteousness goes a long way.

Default If it is indeed fully documented, and AoA agrees...

They should buy the car back at either original MSRP - a milage deduction, or current private seller value. Additionally, they should offer you a car of similar style at invoice.

At least that would seem fair.

But I agree. Get everything fully documented in writing.

Could be something wrong in the AWD drivetrain perhaps? Maybe with the rear diff?
