Whelp, I'll say it again...

This cost $10k and is a hell of alot more fun than a souped-up street car. Okay, doesn't run fast in the 1/4 but I get to legally hit 120 every lap and it pulls 1.5 lateral G and will pop your eyeballs out under braking (and I get a trophy for the sort of aggressive driving that would land you in jail on the street hehehehe).
Yea, so I needed a trailer ($1500) and a tow vehicle (can rent one, I don't have one) and a garage.
BFD.
You car nuts should at least EXPLORE the world of amateur racing, it's less expensive than you think and hella more fun than getting into all sorts of legal trouble on the street (and safer).
Check out a NASA or SCCA race weekend near you.

I've got an 86 GTI as a project car in my drive right now, but I can't keep it...
I'll have to look some more for a Corrado or GTI...lightweight racers...love it...i was going to do a high compression motor rebuild on that thing, but it just couldn't happen with that car right now..
fun stuff..I grew up with those mkII vw's, and they're just as fun as the honda of yours i'm sure.
