Is/was the Kema/Clearlake area flooded?

Kemah got hit really hard from what I was told and saw on T.V.

Default How far into the city (Houston) did the flooding get?

Looks like I'll have to get flood insurance as now. Didn't need that in NYC or Atl.

Almost every place except far west houston. Even central houston flooded!

Default Unless you live on top of a hill, everyone should get flood insurance...

...the fact that you're not in the 100-year floodplain simply means that flood insurance is more affordable. With all of the subsidence, development and more severe weather phenomena these days (heavier rains, drier droughts, hotter summers, colder winters, etc.), I wouldn't put much faith whatsoever in flood plain maps.

Default Damn! I'll be living off of Memorial and Shepherd. It got that far?! Shizat!

I guess I would've gotten the day off from work, though. Thank god I'm getting a second floor apt.

Default That apt. complex right there?

Water went into the apts. on the bottom floor and flooded the first floor of the parking garage. Several cars had water dmg.
