Default Take out "aftermarket car" from that sentence and it remains true.

90% of people in a given trade don't know wtf they're doing. Applies to body shops, mechanics, personal trainers, plumbers, etc etc etc.

Default This valve is a GM valve with a CNC'd adapter to fit.

It is not designed or engineered for this application at all.

AWE made bold claims about how this valve is not available separate from the turbo . . . which is proved untrue.<ul><li><a href="http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60653">"GM" turbo valve</a></li></ul>

Default Do I have to chase you around as you make these false statements?

I already told you directly this is NOT a GM valve!

This is a Porsche valve with a completely different part number. This valve has a different spring and different cap than the GM part. It can't be purchased separately from the Porsche turbo unit that it comes on.

Now you're just trying to slander us as you have been told this fact multiple times already.

Default Nope, not from the pics Arin @ APR has shown me.

Same Bosch valve that comes on their porsche 997 turbo, same as the GM, same as the one on their early development 2.0t.

False statements? You're one to talk Todd.

Default Dave, I'm reading the same forums as you. Arin has NEVER posted these pics you are referring to.

And now you have the chance to do so.

Put your money where your mouth is or knock off the smear agenda.

Default And tell me BorgWarner is lying to us:

Directly from their technical department (my Xs to protect some confidential info):

Subject: AW: Recirc valve kits

the o/kit 5900 711 00XX is for XXX and 5900 711 6004 for the GM turbo (5304 970 0059).

The differences are the spring (force!) and (closing) cover (not interchangeable).

Kind regards
