Default *fscking* dealerships... how bad is driving with a bad TBB?

Okay, so yesterday I blow my TBB. Very obvious. I thought I did it once before, but once it happened, I know its not very mistakable. Hit about 4k RPM, sudden wooshing sound under the hood, loss of power. Car is fine below about 3k...

So this morning I call around. Clair parts isn't open (the mailorder place), and I was going to drive down there, but aparently their parts department isn't open at all. IRA's parts department that is always open on Saturday is also not open. So no TBB for me today.

Here's my problem though: its a long weekend, and the last thing I want is to be cooped up in here. How bad is it really to be driving with a TBB that is torn? The tear can't be THAT bad because the car seems fine at low boost levels. I switched my ECMS APR chip back to stock, figuring that'd help some too... (gotta love APR!). Am I risking anything if I drive around on the stock program like some little ol granny (ie, letting it shift < 2.5k rpm, that sort of thing?)
--

Default Na no real problem except lack of power. maybe

some one in your area (is it Boston?) has one and you can fix it. I have one but I'm in Buffalo

Risky. Depending on the nature of the leak, you might damage the turbos over-reving them.

Default I have been told by three audi tuners that this IS the main cause for turbo failure.

See my explanation in the boost gauge installation process below.

I've got a T one that I just got from Clair. It's for just in case so you can have it if you want.

Excuse me.... but isn't unfiltered getting in? As in, slowly turning engine into a "smoker?"
