Nice looking car. Met one at a light today.

I ease off at the green ... he chirps loudly coming off the
line and goes for it, so I drop the throttle and hit 2nd gear
ASAP. He chirps a second time when his slushbox hits 2nd
gear (some slushbox in those MB cars I tell you) and looks
almost set to pull away, but I was soon pulling away nice
and smooth and had put a good few lengths on him before
he called it a day. He had the jump on me though, so it was
actually a closer run than I expected.

First time I've ever had a big ol' E class try to bring it, least
of all one of these new 5.0L puppies. Not sure I'd put money
down on walking away from one from highway roll-on though,
especially in my current bone-stock condition!

buying them are under the impression they're getting something faster than the Porsche built 92-94 500E or the MB built E55 which replaced it. They are not. This thing is slightly detuned but since it is a 5.0L it can be tuned back up I'm sure.

Its not a replacement for the E55, its replacement for the E430. There will an AMG (E55 equivalent)
