i have noticed my temp readings being around 97 in 85 degree weather.. never thought anything about it.
any help on where it is and the importance of it..

I forget but I think the G89 is up behind the glove box (PITA). STFA to be sure...
but that's why your ambient temp readings are off. You probably will notice that your climate control is off too (AC doesn't keep temp properly).
