Default 100 Octane + Chip = Major Wood

<pointless post>
As some of you may know I'm somewhat displeased with Hoppen's artifical price inflation and thier hot and cold customer service. When they are on a good day they are top notch, however when they are on a bad day, thoughts of blanket party dance in my head.

So I decided to switch camps and give a new chip a try. I'm not saying which one, only because I want to know it's within safe limits of the K03's and it does it's best to fight knocking and pinging, before I support it. Part of my testing is to see how much it'll advance and retard the timing based on gas, so last night I drove the 50 miles to get sunocco 100 octane gas @ 4.50 a gallon. I didn't reset the ECU as I want to watch it adjust on it's own, problem is Zaph has my Vag tool emulator. The first 25 miles were normal, the last 25 produced major wood, I think I discovered an alternative to Viagra... Oh my god is all I can say, no hesitation and RPMS rip to redline.

My suggestion is if you get a chance run a full tank of 100 Octane gas, with whatever chip you have, even stock, and see for yourself. Only problem is I think I'm addicted and I can't justify $50-60 for a tank of gas. I'm gonna try mixing 94+100 when I'm done playing with the chip..

Well, which one is it?? You don't have to support it, just because you mentioned it.

That's very true, but I rather beleive in a chip 100% before I talk it up..

Anyway I had APR and MTM, I'd never buy Nuespeed or TAP.

So that leaves something from GAIC or AMS....

I hope you got GIAC. I thought that ABT was too lurchy. GIAC was smooth as silk.

Default ALOT has to with driving style, if you get chance to watch the boost requests and delivery you'll

quickly see how the ecu is only doing what's it told.
