1st post from prospective b5s4 owner
i'm lookin to buy my friend's 2k1 s4 in the near future...by the end of summer. it's got about 60-65k miles. everything is stock on it n i plan on purchasing the 100k extended warranty as soon as possible. i've heard the horror stories bout the electrical system n turbos goin on the fritz, so my question is can any of you give me a headsup on what problems might arise around this time? i'm so excited to be able to buy this thing, only thing that can stop me is $$$$$. thanks in advance.

Fully expect to have to replace turbos sooner or later, so tack on 6k to the price.
I never heard any real problems about electrical issues though. I'd also look into the maintainence history of the car, sometimes buying a vehicle from a friend isn't a good idea.

thanks for the quick responses and info. i wanna read up on it as much as possible. i don't plan on leaving it stock for very long anyways so i'm researching mods as i go. would the stock turbos be covered by the extended warranty? i just hope they'll hold out long enough til i can scrounge up enough cash to look into k04s :]
