2.7t Heads on E-Bay... Automatic Tranny only... WTF? Are the heads different?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I am a n00b at the hardcore work and parts and stuff... but different heads for different transmissions?

WTF?

Default Yea. Auto heads have the parameters in the rear for secondary air.
You'd need to plug them, some healthy machinist $$$ to convert them for use on a manual setup. Not worth it IMO.

So then... all those people who ask about turning a Tip into a 6-spd... they have to switch heads?

why would you want to DE-grade your tip to a 6 speed?

Default You have to plug those ports. Might just be able to leave the.....
.secondary air diverter valves on the back of the heads, disconnected. Not the best option, IMO, but it might work.

It was done prior to him buying the car, so we don't know for sure, but it was more than 10 grand.
