Default 20 to 40% shifter reduction? with short shift

is there any downsides or problems if you go with a shortshifter that has more reduction than others? is there a erason you would want one with less than the other? also what reduction is the JHM?

Default 40% is overboard.. it's going to reveal the other inadequecies of the linkage assembly..

I'll bet it is a real bitch to align properly..
